We started this website in 2001 as a labor of love. Since then, we’ve been fortunate enough to have received millions of visitors--unprecedented for such a small site like this. Many of you have sent us emails with suggestions, praises, corrections, requests and greetings. And, we are honored to have had many of our images published by prestigious publications world wide. For all of this success we thank you.
WHAT IS EL BOHIO?
El Bohio is a continuing series of photographs depicting the landscape, culture and folklore of the Dominican Republic. Our aim is to provide a balanced view of the Dominican culture and show perspectives often ignored by the traditional media. At the same time, we hope that these images will help to raise awareness on the importance of protecting and preserving the environment and natural resources.
