Maria Argentina Minerva Mirabal Reyes, born in Ojo de Agua, Salcedo, DR, March 12, 1926. Minerva was the political leader of the four Mirabal sisters. She lost her life together with her sisters, Patria and Maria Teresa on November 25, 1960. They were murdered by order of Rafael L. Trujillo Molina for opposing his regime.
