Rhadames, second son of Trujillo and Maria Martinez Alba, salutes his father as he passes in front of a presidential viewing stand during one of the many marches and festivals celebrating Trujillo’s reign of power. Rhadames was an avid horse rider who played polo in his brother Ramfis’ polo team. The Trujillo clan was akin to a royal court in the tropics--they certainly behaved as such.
